Question:
What resources does UW PHARMACY have for students seeking cognitive behavioural therapy? It’s pretty expensive and hard to do because we move around so much due to coop.
Response:
I have not heard of any resources that are provided by UW Pharmacy in terms of cognitive behavioural therapy. But I implore you to reach out to the Counselling Services on main campus as they have ran sessions about the therapy in the past, and considering its offered by UW, I would imagine they have resources to allow students to seek the therapy and still fit it into their co-op schedule. https://uwaterloo.ca/campus-wellness/events/tag/86
Another resource to reach out to is Renate Donnovan (renate.donnovan@uwaterloo.ca) from the school of pharmacy, she is actively involved in providing students with resources that would help them succeed so she might be able to direct you to the right person.
Lastly, you can also contact Dave Mackay, he is the counsellor for pharmacy and you can book an appointment with him through: 519-888-4567, ext 32464.
Sorry I am unable to provide a more concrete answer, but hopefully this helps and please reach out if you are having trouble :)
Thanks
Lou
